A contemporary Latin-American inspired restaurant in Washingtons historic Colorado Building, Ceiba has been sizzling since it opened in 2003. The name “Ceiba” pays tribute to the imposing umbrella-shaped tree found throughout the new-world tropics, and the menu draws inspiration from the Yucatan (Vera Cruz and Cancun), Brazil (Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), Peru, and Cuba.
The extensive travels of chef Jeff Tunks and his partners through these regions are reflected in Ceibas menu, presentation, and dramatic decor.
